The method, protocol describes a technique of the standard method to recover nucleic acids from aqueous solutions by precipitation of DNA with ethanol.  Subnanogram amounts of DNA (and RNA) can be quantitatively precipitated with ethanol, collected by centrifugation, and redissolved within minutes.
